Hi Keith - thank you for pointing out what could (should?) be done with this function. As to why it's named as is...well, your speculation sounds good to me... As I play mostly e-mail and postal chess, I thought when I got Fritz5 that this operation would somehow (magically) help improve me game. Also, as we road riders say, "Another false summit."
