Hi Guys, My Name is Ralph Basden, I'm Tina's Stepdad - writing this with her permission. For the first time I played on ICC. I went there yesterday looking for Rebel v Symslov, played a coupla "guest games" & took up the 1 week free offer. (never did find Rebel vs...) I am WaccaBBall (from computer Golf - Whack a Bloody Ball) & I've played about 12 blitz games, took my initial rating from 1500 to 1000 & back to 1400. Now I'm an addict. So: If I don't want to pay $US50 a year, I'm an Internet novice, I just want to play friendly blitz or rapid, I want to play people (not against/with chess software), where do you recommend I play? What's where's Fics? I read here good & bad about Yahoo. I suppose $US50 isn't too bad if ICC is best (we were saving for Rebel Windows &/or Hiarcs8). I realise this Q has probably been answered here a zillion times, but I've never considered playing online before so never looked. Off Topic: Is there anywhere to play Monopoly agains real people on the net? Thanks guys Ralph Basden
