I am not a moderator, and have no control over what is acceptable or unacceptable, but I believe I can explain what happened. Prior to making the CCC public, we were testing the system with posts from all of the "founders" to try to uncover any weaknesses in the system or make recommendations as to how to make the CCC better. There were several hundred posts made in those few weeks of preparation. Then, when the decision was made that we were ready to go public, Tim hastily erased everything that was thought to be off topic, or in some way was not in the spirit of the rules of CCC. Actually, no moderators were involved in that decision. The CCC then opened to public, and since Chris' post was from a couple of weeks earlier when only founders were privy to posts, it was forgotten, until your post. I personally do not know how the moderators will rule, but thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention. I believe that everyone is dedicated to making this as pure an environment for the exchange of ideas with respect to computer chess as can exist. Steve
