In your present event, the two top finishers didn't play. For > 32 players you need at _least_ 6 rounds, and 7 would be better to handle excessive draws. If you want to run only 5 rounds, then use accelerated pairings. IE seed the programs from 1-N, then pretend that the top 1/2 have already won one game, so that you pair the top 1/4 against the second 1/4, and the bottom half the same way. This makes sure that the expected top finishers play the best opposition possible.
