I am not sure if there is a win for white because black can try to win the pawn
g2 when white tries to queen the pawn.

Maybe there is a win but it is not so simple that I can say without thinking
that there is a mate and it as not important for me to analyze an illegal
position.

I think that it is better to be convinced that white can win against logical
defence before giving your program a lot of hours to find if there is a mate.
