I find Yassers' article confusing. If GK has not defended his title in 5 years, and in the forthcoming challenge with Kramnik, his opponent has not played anyone for the right to challenge for a title, and the PCA no longer exists, how can the winner of the forthcoming match claim to be champion of anything? It seems to me that the only claim GK can really make is to be the highest placed player on the FIDE rating list. And if Kramnik wins, the only claim he can make is to have beaten the highest rated player. -g On April 18, 2000 at 16:36:20, José de Jesús García Ruvalcaba wrote: >http://www.insidechess.com/pubmessage/pubmessage3.html > >Actually, it has little to do with computers. >José.
