Hmm... I have a similar experience with Crafty's opening book. It insists on
playing the Chigorin variation of the spanish defence when confronted with e4.
It is a solid defence, but not very exciting. I've tried changing the book
width, but to no avail. When I get the time I'll build my own book for Crafty.
