If only for commercial reasons. > >Best wishes... >Mogens There are two things leading to disaster: (1) programmers / sellers forcing a program into an event; (2) organizers that don't understand the problems and basically punt and don't handle things correctly. Then, when everything blows up at tournament time, the band-aid fix is "OK, no more computers, period." And that ends that. That very scenario happened in the United States Chess Federation. Total incompetence in the 80's led to an effective total ban of computers in the 1990's.
