Yes I already have done some test with the Anand book and they are too close to
decide which is stronger. By coincidence you left this original book of CM6000
when you decided to test my setting which I am very glad that you did and it
turn out that it is a better book than Anand book in CM6000 bokk library.
Therefore, it is more appropriate to calle it CMQueen+ since you finally made
the final adjustment to my setting. I do notice that in order to test which
setting is stronger, you either test is without a book, and I believe CM6000
has an option called nobook.obk or either lowbook.obk I will have to check just
to make sure I believe it has only 1k and this is to allow CM6000 to pick the
first move and then it play by itself from that point on. And the other option
to find which setting is the stronger, ia to select the same opening book for
both setting, which you already have done in your first testing, the only
incovenience of this choice is that it produces too many duplicated games. But
either way you choose, it will let you know which setting is the strongest
without the advantage of one opening book being better than the other. These two
different tests, which is giving you two different results so far clearly has
demonstrated that a good opening book can affect tremendously the rating
performance of any program. Therefore Fritz 6 just by having a better opening
book can easily outperform Junior 6 for instance in the first 10 ten moves
which from that point on it is very hard for the other programs to take the lead
and finally win the game.
