Yes but if black made a capture in move xx the 50th move end with white and if
white plays Qf7+ black can instead of capturing the queen claim a draw by the 50
move rule.

Qxf4+ avoids the draw in both cases because of the fact that Qxf4+ is a capture
and after a capture black can say nothing with the 50 move rule.
