I think part of the problem is that we don’t know how the strongest computers play relative to the top humans. This is because strong computers and strong humans don’t play against each other. Strong tournaments do not allow computers to play. We will have 1 exception, the Dutch national. Strong players like Kasparov will not play a tournament against a computer, except if there is a very large prize like at the kasparov deepblue tournament.
