It's not that bad at blitz either. One can see Gandalf in action on FICS, I think. Of course, dual or quad Crafty is stronger, but given equal hardware I believe that Gandalf would prove better. Why? From what I've seen, Gandalf is a very good positional player with sharp tactics. Lots of knowledge and very aggressive. Great book. Of course, I may be wrong here. Just a personal impression. I would place Crafty and SOS sharing second, Nimzo, Shredder3 as sharing third, etc. Actually, there are many excellent WB engines :-) *** Djordje
