I have seen Shredder used with in the Winboard interface, and I don't think it
is as strong...


I do however use Gandalf, as I am one of 2 testers for Steen Suurballe, and yes
it is indeed very strong... I like the positional play, and tactics are very
good as well...

As for the strongest Winboard engine, I think it is close, along with Crafty,
SOS, and WBNimzo2000. The Windows port of SOS needs some work as it is not half
as strong as the Linux port...

Maybe Dann or someone could port it to Windows without using a complier
different than MSVC++, as I don't belive that many others do a great job
compiling chess programs or other programs for that matter...oops I just
admitted I like a MS product.. Shame on me :)
