I think the fritz5 program is the more versatile and user friendly. It's graphics is superior and you can manipulate the windows to suit your style. Unless you are a grandmaster you will not beat fritz easily but id\f your ego requires being beaten by the best around you can always purchase the Hiarcs6 engine for 58 dollars and add it to the fritz program
