That only shows that de Gorter doesn't know his elbow from a potato chip. Crafty is actually significantly _worse_ at tactics than commercial programs. Check out the tactical scores on _any_ test suite you care to try. However, as far as 'misplaying some endgames'... I will take crafty's endgame 'misplaying' over most any program I know... It is more than strong enough to handle lots of GM players in an area of the game they are considered best at. The 'despite high...' really means "in spite of lots of contrary evidence, " which makes the statement pretty meaningless. And finally, I really don't care what he thinks... I'll be happy to play _his_ program any time he wants...
