I do not do a SET command, but here is my crafty.rc:

egtb
tbpath=c:/winboard/tb
ponder off
log off
/hash=24M
/hashp=4M
/cache=4M
learn 7
resign 9
noise 100000
book on
book random 1
book width 2
display extstats
exit

and with this position the games ends with illegal move Ka8 rejected, however
both sides use TB's. In krkn only black does.
