Subject: Is it normal for a portable to computer celeron 433 Mhz to heat up ?

Yesterday I received a gateway Notebook with an intel celeron 433 Mhz with 64 MB
of RAM and after 3 hours of pitting different chess softwares  using Winboard
4.07, I noticed that it was very hot. It this normal for a portable computer ? I
am a little concern since this is my first portable computer.
