That is exactly the configuration that I run and I never noticed any problems. I
have played a lot of games with Amy, Comet, Crafty, Exchess, Gromit(3), SOS and
TheCrazyBishop. They all access the same directory with the compressed
tablebases. No errors occured so far. Ponder is always on.
