quite possible.  But there *are* others too.  ChessGuru beat Virtual
Chess at last year's French Championship.  He's no pushover either, and
he's *always* running on an alpha.

If I were a betting person, I'd bet on Ferret.  But even his chances
are not that great, because with so many strong programs, it is going
to be a "throw the dice and take your chances."
