By this point, it is clear that black doesn't know what is going on. This might be a problem with choosing a bad book line, or it might be a problem with not understanding the pieces bearing on the king position. I think the 'solution' here is back earlier in the game. IE even if a program will play gf here, I would hope it would avoid this position earlier so that it doesn't have to deal with that choice...
