hi guys,
seems like crafty plays better on long time control with ponder=on.
Though too small number of games to come to any kinda conclusion. I think i am
more interested on the longer time control games then the 1&2 mins games. Not
because crafty was outplayed on them. But because longer time control makes more
sense when it comes to testing, skills or differant "modes", of programs, (in
this case ponder=off or on). I think i will still stick to my "idea" that
ponder=off hurts crafty more then any other programs. I value this because i
played some games on two identical comp (like chessfun, but i used two pentium
III 600mzh) i played manually with crafty on winboard. I wish i had the games
:(.......but one of my comp crushed ( i think CIA hacked my comp). Anyways the
games score was something like 5-2 (or 4-3), five wins for crafty. i was bored
after playing 7 games manually, so i stoped. time control was 40 moves in 1hr
and rest in one hr. I am sure if the games were ponder=off for both programs
crafty couldnt play that good or maybe the score would be something like 1-6!!
anyways i just realise i am tired (after coming home from work) and giving a
stupid boring post, so i guess i will stop!!!
