Has anybody made experience with the different parameters of shredder 4, i.e. plans, strategic search, pawns structures,(in German "Pläne", "Strategische Suche", "Bauernstrukturen" etc) and their influence on the playing strength of the program under various time controls? I played a small tournament (40min for the game) between Fritz 6a, Chess Tiger 12.0e and Shredder 4 and Shredder could not win a single game during the first three rounds round robbin. Only two draws against Tiger, three losses against Fritz. I understand that Fritz should be stronger during shorter time controls, although I would not expect such a significant difference (well, I know, that three games say nothing, but I like to avoid insignificant results after more games, caused by wrong settings of a certain program - thus, my question about the parameters of shredder).
