Put the pawn on a7 instead of g6 and it is difficult for white to lose. My point was that your dream up method just happens to work for this position, but it would not work for a lot of other positions (removing the a7 pawn from the position I mentioned would seem to indicate a draw when it is a clear win). Therefore, it would be difficult if not impossible to use such a method in a program. The question then comes down to what method (shy of 12 piece tablebases) will work? KarinsDad :)
