Hi Steve, Gianluigi Yes, I like Manfred Rosenboom's site too. There are lots more links in the Computer Chess Resource Center that I haven't been to yet. I just received my copy of Dutch magazine Computerschaak. Just a quick glance: Jaap van den Herik more or less states that computers in 5 years time can hold serious conversations on the Internet. I think it is a bit optimistic to predict that by that time computers could be regular members of CCC but who knows. Cock de Gorter encounters some illegal moves with the autoplayer in his tournaments and praises CSTal for its playing style, Frans Morsch hard at work at the openings for Fritz in the Dutch Championship and he plans to operate the computer himself, Dap Hartmann mentions an article (july 1999) from Hans Berliner in correspondence chess magazine Chess Mail. Here Berliner answers some of the criticism on his attempted demolishment of the Grünfeld in "The System" and tries to refute 12. ...Qa3. This article is also available online: http://www.chessmail.com/gruenfeld.html Regards everybody, Eelco
