I think this is mostly because IBM's publicity department knows how to milk this for all it's worth. It's a shame that Kasparov's behavior was so unreasonable after the match, because I believe that this is where things broke down. If there had been a rematch against Deeper Blue, then this whole event would have been viewed in a different light, but my opinion (keep in mind that I said "my opinion", which carrys no weight) is that Kasparov made the rematch next to imposible. So now, both sides look like the bad guy. How could that be? Pete
