Looks like "Crafty 17.10" also prefers Nxe6.

This is very similar to the PV and score displayed by
"DarkThought WCCC'99" for the original position after
completing iteration #16 (see my previous message).

16.01 Nxe6 fxe6 Qxe6 a6 Bxa6 Bxa6 Qxa6 Ra8 Qe6 =0.26 #6468231055

Tonight, I let "DarkThought" analyze the position that
arises after playing 1. Nxe6 fxe6 from the original.

Still very similar ...
