To further test this position I ran autoplay on 3 programs, MCPro 3.5, CM4000 and Rebel 8. Each program found a path to victory for white even though their initial evals where quite level. Rebel 8 like your Crafty opted for the rapid deployment of the Knight to the nice outpost at d5.
