Just to add a note, any editor will work.  I used to use Notepad, but at some
point I switched to the Dos Editor because some pgn files are too big for
Notepad, but now I no longer use the Dos editor, I now use an ascii editor
called PFE which is a free editor that is intended for programming, but it's
very good for just everyday editing tasks too.  If the pgn file is small enough
I still use the Notepad because it's very fast.
