It is understandable that the organizers must have "stupidly" thought that
having a prize fund that is larger then any previous championship, and that
Fritz would not win any money from it would outweigh the distaste of having a
computer play.

If there is no incentive for the sponsers (that is, what do I get out it) then
why should they put up the money.
