Which is what van der Sterren did? And he is to be commended for his honesty and integrity. On the other hand, people like Bosboom hurt other people (in this case Frans Morsch who created a wonderful chess playing program enjoyed both by GMs and duffers alike) for no reason. He should have stated his unwillingness to play Fritz and that would have been sufficient. Had there been ten players who did not want to play Fritz, Fritz would not have enrolled.
