Problem is that you cannot play "only sound tactical chess" to win against a top
computer program anymore.  You have outplay a top notch program both
strategically and tactically.  Only now and then do these blunder strategically
so much that they are dead meat.  Ask GMs.  You will hear the same story.  Ask
any strong player, the reply will almost always be the same.  No more easy wins
for humans, because proggies have started playing solid chess.  All this said, I
believe that the best of programs on a 450Mhz computers are not over 2500, if
that high.  However, a quad box Fritz is a different beast -- think about 2600.
