Define average! :P If we are talking only larger major appliances, a computer might in fact be below the average power consumption. However, if you include small things like a shaver, a clock, phone, etc, etc, then the computer will be above average for sure. Another thing to give you a clue is that higher power consumption translates to more heat .. do you see many other appliances with fans and cooling systems attached to them? :P Regards, Adrien.
