Yes, it is certainly possible to produce 6-man EGTs with Nalimov's current code. EN himself has produced several - see Rob Hyatt's ftp site - but in all cases, at least two pieces on one side have been the same, halving the problem size. I believe there are some ongoing improvements to the code's use of workspace which will make it more efficient in memories of less than 4GB. Peter Karrer has just completed KQQKQP but was able to 'slice up' the endgame to do one pawn-position at a time. This reduces the index-range required, the space required and the number of positions to be examined in one phase. G
