Just on a lighter note, guys, I remember back in the early
1980's when I had a Novag Constellation. I was starting out
in chess at the time, and in my part of the world there were'nt
many human opponents around the neighbourhood.
I figured out how to beat the Novag. You basically waited
until it castled, then castle on the opposite wing. Follow this
up with a pawnstorm on it's kingside, and it worked almost every
time. And this with me as a very mediocre player.
The programs are obviously a lot stronger nowadays, but I was
surprised to see VanWely adopt my winning strategy. In those days
I was seeing further than the Novag's very limited horizon, and
that's what he did with Fritz.
Looking forward to Fritz/Tiviakov in about half an hour, and
let's all give Tiv our support.
