These Alpha clones are getting a lot of attention because they run Windows NT. Windows NT used to be something that nobody bought, but there has been a lot of attention paid to it lately. So the distincion between x86 and Alpha will break down further as NT becomes more successful, and as people port their applications to Alpha. When I ordered MSVC 5.0 Risc edition, it took me a month to get it, because it was back-ordered. bruce
