The FIDE presidential board convening in London headed by Kirsan Illumzhinov had reached the following resolutions: 1. To hold the FIDE world championships finalin Iran. In the event that an Israeli player qualifies the championships will be relocated to Elista in Kalimikia. 2. Not to hold the preliminaries in Iran because 4 Israeli players (Gelfand, Psakhis, Smirin, Sutovsky) are playing but to have them in New-Delhi. Iran wanted to host the whole event but backed out in view of these participants. 3. To take measures against tournaments that have computers as participants. No ratings will be calculated for such tournaments. These three decisions though different in nature pretty much sum up the International situation that our "mind sport" is stuck in. -- Enjoy :)
