The last couple of games I've seen quite a standard approach from the grandmasters. First try to block everything. Then decide if you want to break up the blockade or take the draw. I had expected that everyone would (have to ) take the draw, but in this kind of positions the grandmasters seem to be able to see that breakthrough a lot better than the computer. That's not really a surprise but I thought the difference would be smaller. Still a lot of work to be done. Although it's not nice for Frans, I don't believe it's bad for computerchess. At least one has an answer to the very annoying "Chess has been solved, because Kasparov lost to Deep Blue". Now hope this will lead to more interest and sponsoring. Tony > >Pete
