In the interview published by KasparovChess site, Yasser Seirawan quotes SSDF as a good example of hjow poeple should beahve to build good ranking lists: "I’m very impressed, for example, by the efforts made by this Swedish Computer Chess Federation, which, despite enormous commercial pressures, from all of the chess computer entities, they do the ratings for the commercial programs and say “I’m sorry, we’re not going to give you any advantages over anybody else. We are completely independent, and these are the best chess computer programs in the world, believe it or not.” I just can’t imagine how gross it would be if FIDE said, “Why is the SCCF doing that? We should be doing it.” Just stop and think about that." I would like to underline "...despite enormous commercial pressures...", and say that I'm not sure that everybody would agree about the fact that thay "...are not going to give you any advantages...", still interesting point of view. regards Franz
