Yes, that would appear to be the decision made. In general I don't have a
problems with that, since it's a question of mixing apples and oranges anyway
IMO. The dutch chess championships have illuminated the problems concerning such
an event. The man vs. machine events are more suited for exhibitional purposes
and I don't think it'll hurt the programmers especially. They'll still have
ample possibilities to test their programs against GMs.
