Simple - there was an insane arms race, led by people who wanted a huge advantage over the rest of the field, and that led, inevitably, as you could have guessed beforehand, to some of the rest of the field obtaining kit that, while it was still nowhere near the nuclear weapons of the opponents, at least added a little in compensation. Since neither you nor Bob have responded to my suggestion that you limit at the 500 alphas, and don't use the 767's - I assume that you'll use the 767's if you can. Your argument that you are just trying to 'stay competitive' is shown for what is truly is: an attempt to get well ahead of the rest of the field. Chris > >bruce
