What if Karpov was playing White in that situation, would Tiviakov make such
claim? I bet you any money that he would not make such claim because GM Karpov
is a virtuoso in the endgame, and also he plays very fast, and he's almost never
in time trouble. I bet you that Karpov would not even make such a draw offer,
he would play on because he knows that in time trouble, mistakes and blunders
are made, and Karpov could easily equalize the material deficit and win the
game. I believe that is totally childish of Tiviakov to make such claims,
against any stronger GM like Karpov or Kasparov, he would not make such claim.
So it seems that computers have no rights, and there will always be humans who
refuses to play computers because computers are not invanding their turf. Guess
what? Computer chess is here to stay, so toughen up and accept it!!! It's like
the time when cars were introduced, there were people who refused to allow these
new wonder vehicles to replace their horse and cart. And we all know what
happened in the end: resistance is futile, you will be assimilated!!!
