I think Fritz probably had to win the Wallet Cup, not that I begrudge them this.

What invitations?  You don't get invited to a human tournament any more than the
movie theatre invites you to the show.

A few years ago they'd always lose, so there was no point, and in a few years
they will always win, so there will be no point.  I think the humans are too mad
about this inevitable change in fortune to allow for a lot of events, even
though computer vs human chess is at or near its point of higest "fairness".
