Perhaps the program's score should be made known to the operator only (and not to opponents and competitors). We know that the score is only a means to guide the search to find the right move. E.g., a position which is +4.5 for one program can be +0.7 for another one. Chess players however are inclined to take this very seriously. I had too often to debate about this. Thus, I think no decision should be based on the score displayed by the program. Uli > >Gerrit
