When I double-clicked REBWIN64, Rebel9 >started to open. I clicked the menu EXT|PROGRAM and the message said >the hashtable had only 28 MB and not 60 MB of memory. Why did my Windows >95 not let Rebel9 to take up some of extra MB in swapfile on my harddisk >to gain 60 MB hashtable successfully? My computer has 40 MB RAM and has >more than 500 MB free space of harddisk. What can I do now please? >Also, do I need to modify anything in the properties of the REBWIN64 >shortcut in order to get maximum optimization for running Rebel9 under >WIN95 efficiently? If I am right the shortcuts: REBWIN8 will allocate 4 Mb for hash tables REBWIN16 will allocate 10 Mb for hash tables REBWIN32 will allocate 13 Mb for hash tables REBWIN64 will allocate 28 Mb for hash tables This might look strange but it's done to avoid any swap delays. The abbreviations 8,16,32 and 64 just stand for the amount of memory available on PC configurations. But if you by all means want a hash table of *60Mb* on your *40Mb* Pc then do the following: - Click right on the REBWIN64 icon - Select PROPERTIES - Select MEMORY - Change the 40,000 into 65,000 - Click OK Then launch the new REBWIN64 shortcut. Rebel 9.0 will have 60 Mb hash tables (I think) Then click the REBEL button.... Happy swapping... :)) - Ed Schroder - >Your help is greatly appreciated. >Thank you, >Eran >Rebel9 Enduser.
