Sort of like seeing one stuck in the snow on the side of the road. You stop to pull them out. And they complain because you didn't scrape their windshield so they could see... or you didn't check to be sure they had enough fuel to get where they were going. For some, you can _never_ offer enough. There is always _more_ that they want or think they deserve...
