Ed, Thank you for answering me. Surely I will activate SMARTDRV, but it requires HIMEM.SYS and EMM386.EXE NOEMS in config.sys. I usually play slow games, and I am interested in maximum speed of Rebel9 in pure MS-DOS. I am reluctant to run Rebel9 in WIN95, because WIN95 may have some bugs and is not stable; in other words, I fear that Rebel9 might crashes while running in WIN95, and the time of my computer's thinking would be a waste. In addition, some info from your homepage recommends not to switch between running Rebel9 and other Windows programs in WIN95, so it is not worth running Rebel9 in WIN95. Consequently, Rebel9 is stable and has strongest settings in pure MS-DOS.
