Although now I have them all on HD, they worked okay with me from CD-ROM.
Check out the Chssbase.ini file in your windows directory, it should show the
path under the [Tablebase] header something like this:

[Tablebase]
Path=d:
CacheSizeKB=2048

Also read my remarks on this page by Steve Lopez, if you want to use multiple
paths under Fritz and Hiarcs:
