If you consider the SSDF rating the same as the FIDE rating yes, If you consider it the way SSDF does, namely the differences in strenght between the engines in the pool of chess programs, there is no need to. Basically the ratings tell us something about the differences between the various engines. SSDF never claimed there was a direct link to human player strenght, afaik. Jeroen ;-}
