It's hard to know when there's so little information. When someone is having problems with a certain program, it's easier if the person in question explains what he's been trying to do and failed at. If he just replaced an old version with a new version of AnMon then -xboard shouldn't be a problem. If it's a new user of AnMon then you might be right. He might also have tried to use AnMon without WinBoard, which isn't possible. However, the lack of -xboard would be my guess as well. Best wishes... Mogens
