Subject: Maybe i will never know about my ply!

Alot of info has come my way but most of it i can't decipher cause i don't know
how it relates. I asked for everyone to contribute to a ratings list giving an
estimate of :
1 Deeper Blue and how many ply ahead it searched  = 15 minimum but usually 17
2 Deep Blue 1 ply less so   14 min and 16 on average

that still leaves Cray Blitz, Deep Thought 1991,1989,1988,
Chiptest-M,Chiptest,Hitech and any other Main frame ......
also what about Hiarcs and it's 8-11ply searches ???

maybe i wasn't specific sorry.
